HL2 Mod Gameplay Prototypes:
At the concept level of our project, a Half-Life 2 mod, we were asked to prototype our gameplay ideas using Half-life 2′s source engine. Before we axed the idea of using the gravity gun, i’ve managed to make several unique ideas using it for level progression.
The first section is a gravity field that the user must pass through. The object was to make the objects appear floating in real time withou the need for animation.
Section section features a modified version of the gravity gun, were it would take any physics objects with in the game would and freeze it into place with the Gravity gun, making the user his own path to the next objective.
Third section was triggers reversing the gravity of any physics objects, generating a unique effect.
